Covid-19 Virus Response

5/19/20 Update

I hope you and your families are all healthy and managing this crisis as best you can. We miss seeing you all in our buildings, whether participating or spectating, and look forward to getting back to normal as soon as possible.

As with everyone else we are still in a holding pattern and waiting on our next move. Recreation is part of New York State's Phase 4 of Reopening. We will reopen whenever it is safe and appropriate to do so. We have been keeping abreast of current procedures and best practices for a safe return and will be ready to open safely once appropriate.

We intend to re-start the sessions of instructional programs and leagues where we left off. Some of them have also been cancelled due to their timing.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with questions. You can reach us by phone, email, and social media.

Stay safe, stay home, and stay active!

James Hammond, General Manager

3/14/20 Update - Due to current events with the COVID-19 Virus both TSE buildings (Gates and East Rochester) will be closed effective Sunday, 3/15. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates when available.

The health and welfare of our employees and visitors to TSE facilities is our top priority; this includes maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all.

As such, we are closely monitoring the evolving situation regarding novel coronavirus (COVID-19). We will continue to update our protocol in response to the guidance and recommendations from the Center for Disease Control, the New York State Department of Health, and the Monroe County Health Department. We also encourage all our visitors and staff to monitor updates and take hygiene precautions as recommended by these agencies.

We are implementing extra cleaning procedures at both facilities. Procedures include:

  • Hand sanitizer at all facilities; restrooms offer hot water and soap
  • Additional cleaning and sanitizing of handrails, door handles, high-touch surfaces, etc.
  • Sanitizing of indoor turf fields and equipment
  • Monitoring communications and directives from the CDC, New York State Dept. of Health and Monroe County Health Dept.
  • Staff are reminded to consistently wash their hands and to stay home if they are sick.
  • Visitors are asked to stay home if they are feeling ill and avoid touching their eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands. Parents are also asked to not bring their children if they are feeling ill.

We will continue to monitor the situation and take our cues regarding programs and public gatherings from the experts.

This a fluid situation and subject to change at any time. Changes to programming and schedules will be communicated via email, social media, and posted on our website. Please contact us with any additional questions.

Sincerely,

James Hammond, General Manager
